    Description

    Bavarian china
    is characterized by fine translucent
    porcelain
    and hand-painted colorful decorations. While floral patterns are generally used on dinnerware, hand-painted figurines are also prevalent. Paint colors are almost exclusively blue, pink, yellow, green and red. Silver and gold trim is common as well.
    This Soup Tureen is pre war Vintage.  Rieber was purchased by Mitterteich and carried both names for a period of time.
    Handle to handle measures 10-3/4 inches.  Soup bowl measures 8-3/4 width.  weight is 3.5 pounds.
    Floral gold pattern is very limited and rare.
